Basement & Radon Solutions helped Tons Of Rentals and here are some steps we took…
The scope of this work included installing a radon piping system below the existing encapsulated crawl space liner, and the radon piping system was then extended to the left exterior of the home. After installing the piping system below the encapsulated liner, the liner was sealed with an equal or greater quality liner and was taped to seal the encapsulation. A 4″ PVC pipe was then extended from the crawl space to the exterior of the home where the radon fan was installed. The vent pipe from the radon fan extends to above the roofline to help expel the radon gas safely. We also installed a manometer – it’s a vacuum gauge installed on radon vent pipe. Homeowner monitoring gauge to insure radon fan is operational. Then, we also installed a Radon System Alarm – Radon System Alarms are now required on all newly installed residential radon systems. This unit is a vacuum monitoring device utilizing piezo resistive pressure sensor (PPS) technology. This alarm will provide an audible and visual indication to alert the homeowner when the radon system is not moving sufficient air in the event of a power loss to the system.
It was a pleasure helping Tons Of Rentals make this home happy, healthy, & safe for the tenant!
