To fix the cracks in Paul & Heath’s basement we installed Fortress carbon fiber straps. They were installed on the top rim joist plate. The rim joist and bottom anchor footer assembly were installed vertically at four foot centers on the rear and left foundation walls. The foundation wall was scarified and cleaned smooth where straps are located on the wall.The carbon fiber/kevlar top bracket is secured to the rim joist. The steel dual leg bottom anchor is drilled and epoxied to the floor to prevent wall shear making it 125 times stiffer than the competition making the bottom plate anchor. It is the best in the industry. High strength epoxy is then applied to wall and straps to create a life of the structure warranty where installed. Straps may be painted in the future for aesthetic purposes.It was a pleasure to help Paul & Heath make there their basement happy, healthy & safe again.
