Basement & Radon Solutions, BRS Pros installed a Sub-Slab mitigation system in Susan’s basement. The radon suction line was installed in the right front basement slab. After diagnostics for the systems performance, a 5 diameter hole was drilled through the concrete slab to the earth below This is where a suction pit was then created. A 4″ schedule 40 PVC suction line was installed in the slab, sealed and then was extend to the right front exterior of the home. The radon fan was mounted on the right front exterior of the home. Then, the radon vent pipe was extend above the roof line to help expel the radon gas safely. Lastly, we installed a Manometer in the basement. The Manometer gauge (homeowner radon fan monitoring vacuum gauge) was installed on the radon suction line pipe in the basement. This will allow for easy viewing to see if the fan is running properly. After installing the Sub-Slab mitigation system, we tested Susan’s home again for radon. This radon gas test came back at 1.0pCi/L! It was a pleasure helping Susan make her home healthy, happy, and safe!”
