BRS Pros helped Robert by installing a Fast Drain dewatering system and here are some steps we took…
Fast Drain – We installed our warranted Fast Drain sub-floor dewatering system complete as estimated along the front, right and rear; and left front to fireplace foundation walls in the basement.
Sump Pump -Installed our GrateSump basin with removeable (flush with floor) lid covered with stone in left front corner of basement (as looking at the front door). The system includes 1/3 HP cast iron primary pump with dual float cage that protects debris from float. Included is deluxe controller that monitors pump and power conditions and will sound an alarm if problems are detected or a high water warning in the sump, additionally, it activates pump weekly to exercise and extend pump life.
Thermal Shield – Is a metal foil faced reflective wall liner with a plastic moisture barrier. The wall liner was mechanically fastened/sealed to within 6″ of the top of the foundation wall above the fast drain system. Thermal Shield is 90 mil thick, Class A Fire Rated with a near zero perm rate. Thermal Shield reflects the natural occurring heat generated in the basement or crawl space away from the foundation walls to provide a much warmer space.
