Basement & Radon Solutions, BRS Pros, did quite a few repairs for Robert & Catherine… 1. Removed all of the old subfloor insulation. 2. Subfloor organic growth remediation-This is where BRS Pros cleaned the crawlspace subfloor of wood decaying fungi and organic growth. Then fogged the crawlspace with an EPA registered fungicide, cleaner, and deodorizer that kills 99.9% of mold spores and will inhibit the growth of mold and mildew. 3. All new subfloor fiberglass insulation was installed. 4. A Hydro-Channel water control system was installed adjacent to the foundation footing along the perimeter walls. The Hydro-Channel removes storm water up to 70% faster than a pipe and stone system. 5. Installed a Pro-Series Combo Sump Pump that connects to the Hydro-Channel water control system – The sump pump includes 1/3 HP cast iron primary pump with dual float cage. Included is a deluxe controller that monitors pump, power conditions and sounds an alarm when problems are detected and/or a high water warning in the sump. In addition, it activates the pump weekly to exercise and extend pump life. 6. We encapsulated the crawlspace and made it RADON READY – The crawlspace was encapsulated with 9-mil white 100% woven reinforced liner. Underneath the liner is a radon piping system, this piping system will be used in the future if the home ever tests high for radon gas. 7. Installed an Aprilaire 1820 Dehumidifier, This model removes up to 70 pints of moisture per day! 8. Lastly we installed a Hygrometer Remote Humidity Sensor – This unit will remotely monitor the temperature and relative humidity in the crawlspace via a sensor. This product will help them monitor the effective humidity of the dehumidifier in the crawlspace from the monitor mounted inside their home. It was a pleasure to help make Robert & Catherine’s new home happy, healthy, & safe!
