Basement & Radon Solutions installed an encapsulated radon mitigation system. Started with connecting the existing radon piping system installed below our encapsulated ground liner to a 4″ PVC suction pipe that was extended to the left exterior of the home where the radon fan was installed. The radon vent pipe was mounted to the exterior wall and terminate above the roofline to expel the radon gas safely. The manometer gauge (homeowner radon fan monitoring vacuum gauge) was installed on the suction line of the system in the crawl space for easy viewing. Then, we installed the Radon System Alarm. Radon System Alarms are now required on all new residential radon systems. This unit is a vacuum monitoring device utilizing piezo resistive pressure sensor (PPS) technology. This alarm will provide an audible and visual indication to alert the homeowner when the radon system is not moving sufficient air in the event of a power loss to the system. Lastly, we preformed a post radon mitigation test that came back at 0.5 pCi/l!
It was a pleasure helping Rachel make her new home happy, healthy, & safe!
