Basement & Radon Solutions installed a radon system for the HOA. We installed a radon piping system below the existing encapsulated crawlspace liner in the crawlspace. The radon piping system was extended to the rear exterior of the home. After installing the piping system below the encapsulated liner, the liner was sealed with an equal or greater quality liner and will be taped to seal the encapsulation. A 4″ PVC pipe was extended from the crawlspace to the rear exterior. This is where an approved radon fan was installed. The vent pipe from the radon fan was then extended to above the roofline. We installed a manometer – Vacuum gauge installed on radon vent pipe. Homeowner monitoring gauge to insure radon fan is operational. We also installed Radon System Alarm – Radon System Alarms are now required on all newly installed residential radon systems. This unit is a vacuum monitoring device utilizing piezo resistive pressure sensor (PPS) technology. This alarm will provide an audible and visual indication to alert the homeowner when the radon system is not moving sufficient air in the event of a power loss to the system. Lastly, we preformed a post radon test that came back at 0.7 pCi/l!
It was a pleasure helping Pam & the HOA to make the home happy, healthy & safe!
