Basement & Radon Solutions installed a Sub-Slab Radon Mitigation System in Michele’s basement. The radon suction line was installed in the right rear of the basement slab. After diagnostics a 5 diameter hole was drilled through the concrete slab to the earth below. Then, a suction pit was created. A 4″ schedule 40 PVC suction line was installed in the slab, sealed and was extend to the right rear exterior of the home. The radon fan was mounted on the right rear exterior part of the home. Then, the radon vent pipe was extended above the roof to expel the gas out and away from the home safely. The radon fan come with a 5-year Manufacture’s Limited Warranty. It is 100% enclosed for assured protection. Designed with a UL listed durable plastic. It is UV resistant white in color, but can be painted a different color if desired. After that we installed a Manometer to the radon system in the basement. A Manometer is a vacuum gauge that Michele can easily monitor to insure radon fan is operational. With installing the Sub-Slab Mitigation System, we lowered Michele’s radon gas level to 1.6pCi/L! It was a pleasure to help Michele make her new home happy, healthy, and safe!”
