Basement & Radon Solutions installed an encapsulation radon system. We installed a radon piping system below the existing encapsulated crawl space liner in the crawl space. The radon piping system was extended to the left exterior of the home. After installing the piping system below the encapsulated liner, the liner was sealed with an equal or greater quality liner and was taped to seal the encapsulation. A 4″ PVC pipe was then extended from the crawl space to the exterior. This is where the radon fan was installed with the vent pipe from the radon fan extending to above the roofline to safely remove the radon gas. Then, we installed a Radon System Alarm. Radon System Alarms are now required on all new residential radon systems. This unit is a vacuum monitoring device utilizing piezo resistive pressure sensor (PPS) technology. This alarm will provide an audible and visual indication to alert the homeowner when the radon system is not moving sufficient air in the event of a power loss to the system. Lastly, we preformed a post radon test for Michael that came back at 3 pCi/l!
It was a pleasure helping Michael make his home happy, healthy, & safe for a new family!
