Margaret contacted us here at Basement & Radon Solutions because he had a high radon test in his crawlspace.
Basement & Radon Solutions installed a Sub-Slab mitigation system inside Margaret’s crawlspace. The radon suction line was installed in the left end basement slab. After diagnostics for system performance, a 5 diameter hole was drilled through the concrete slab to the earth below. A suction pit was then created. A 4″ schedule 40 PVC suction line was installed in the slab, sealed and was extended into the homes attic. The radon fan was mounted in the basement. The radon fan vent pipe was then extended through and properly flashed above the roof of the home. The manometer gauge (homeowner radon fan monitoring vacuum gauge) was installed on the suction line pipe in the garage. After installing the mitigation system the radon gas level came back at 2.8 pCi/L! It was a pleasure helping Margaret make her crawlspace happy, healthy & safe again. “
