Basement & Radon Solutions, BRS Pros, installed a sub-slab exterior mitigation system in the basement for Lynda. We did this by putting the suction line in the right front garage basement slab. Then a 5 diameter hole was drilled through the concrete slab to the earth below. Then a suction pit was then created. A 4″ schedule 40 PVC suction line was installed in the slab, sealed and was extend to the right exterior of the home. Then the radon fan was mounted on the right exterior of Lynda’s home. The radon vent pipe was extend above the roof where the radon gas is expelled safely. Lastly, the manometer gauge (homeowner radon fan monitoring vacuum gauge) was installed on the suction line pipe in the garage. All of this work was worth it because BRS PROs got the radon gas down to 1.6 pCi/L! It was a pleasure to help Lynda make her home happy, healthy, and safe!”
