Basement & Radon Solutions, BRS Pros, installed a Hydra-Channel dewatering system and ground liner in Lisa & John’s rental crawl space. The goal of this crawlspace water control system is to direct both ground and surface water to a sump pump. The ground liner will limit moisture in the air. 

1. Firstly for the Hydra-Channel water control system we started by digging a clean trench adjacent to the foundation footing along the four interior perimeter foundation walls. The Hydra-Channel was installed according to manufacture’s instructions adjacent to the footing. This will allow water to flow freely to the in-ground sealed sump pump/basin located in the right rear interior of the crawlspace. The Hydra-Channel water drainage system will remove storm water up to 70% faster than a French drain! This system is also more economical as it saves the consumer on both materials and labor!
2. Secondly, we installed 9-mil white 100% woven USA made ground liner. The 9-mil woven ground liner will control moisture vapor and dampness from the ground. This product will not off gas (known on Google as crawlspace cat urine odor”, go ahead and check it out), we guarantee it!! Our woven ground and wall liners are antibacterial, meaning mold and other organic growth will not grow to the liner.
3. Fun Fact all of our crawlspace work is RADON READY! This means a radon suction pipe is laid underneath all ground liner. This piping system can be used in the future if the home is tested for radon gas and requires a complete radon system. By having the pipe underneath the liner this could save the consumer significant money and hassle in the future.
