Basement & Radon Solutions helped Jon once more by installing a radon system under the vapor barrier we have already installed for him during his encapsulation. We connected the existing radon piping system installed below our encapsulated ground liner to a 4″ PVC suction pipe that was extend to the left exterior of the home, where the radon fan was installed. The radon vent pipe was mounted to the left exterior wall and terminate above the roofline to safely expel the radon gas. The manometer gauge (homeowner radon fan monitoring vacuum gauge) will be installed on the suction line of the system in the crawl space. We also installed the Radon System Alarm – Radon System Alarms are now required on all new residential radon systems. This unit is a vacuum monitoring device utilizing piezo resistive pressure sensor (PPS) technology. This alarm will provide an audible and visual indication to alert the homeowner when the radon system is not moving sufficient air in the event of a power loss to the system.
It was a pleasure helping Jon again make his home happy, healthy, & safe!
