Basement & Radon Solutions installed a Sub-Slab radon mitigation system in Jon’s basement. The goal of this system is to remove the radon gas from underneath the basement slab before it enters the finished area of the home. A radon suction pit was installed in the right rear corner of the basement slab. A 4 schedule 40 PVC suction line was installed in the slab, sealed and then was extended to the right rear exterior of the home. The radon fan was mounted on the right rear of the exterior of the home. The radon vent pipe was then extend above the roof line to expel the radon gas safely. Lastly, the manometer gauge (homeowner radon fan monitoring vacuum gauge) was installed on the suction line pipe in the basement for easy viewing and monitoring. Installing this system helped bring down the radon gas level to 1.0pCi/L! It was a pleasure helping Jon make his home healthy, happy, & safe!”
