Basement & Radon Solutions, BRS Pros, did quite a bit of work for Joel. Here are the steps that were taken.1. Removed all contaminated insulation from the sub-floor. 2. Cleaned the crawl space addition sub-floor of wood decaying fungi and organic growth. Then we fogged an EPA registered fungicide, cleaner, and deodorizer though out the crawlspace. This kills 99.9% of mold spores and will inhibit the growth of mold & mildew! 3. Installed new insulation to the sub-floor in the crawl space.4. Installed a 9-mil wall liner. This is a white 100% woven reinforced wall liner that is made in the USA!5. Installed 15-mil ground liner. This is a premium (walk on/store on) white 100% woven reinforced liner – also made in the USA! The 15-mil woven ground liner will control moisture vapor and dampness from the ground.*Our woven ground and wall liners are antibacterial- meaning mold and other organic growth will not grow to our liner.6. Installed a RADON READY system in the crawl space addition. A radon piping system was installed below the ground liner. The piping system will be used in the future when the home is tested for radon gas and requires a complete radon system. 7. Installed an Aprilaire Model 1820 Dehumidifier. This is a high-capacity solution designed for humidity control in crawlspaces and basements. The Model 1820 removes up to 70 pints of moisture per day! Because we installed it the dehumidifier comes with a 5 year manufacture warranty!8. Lastly, we installed a Hygrometer. A Remote Temperature and Relative Humidity Meter stand alone unit with one remote sensor. The wireless remote sensor was mounted in the crawl space to give Joel an accurate reading of the relative humidity. This product will help Joel monitor the effective humidity of the dehumidifier in the crawlspace. It was a pleasure to help Joel make his home happy, healthy, and safe!
