Basement & Radon Solutions, BRS Pros, did quite a bit of work to fix up Jim’s crawl space…1. We removed all of the old insulation from the sub-floor.2. We cleaned the sub-floor of all wood decaying fungi and organic growth.3. We fogged the crawl space with an EPA registered fungicide, cleaner, and deodorizer. This will kill 99.9% of mold spores and will inhibit the growth of mold and mildew. 4. We installed a Hydra-Channel. We dug a trench along the full interior perimeter of the crawl space foundation. It is engineered fusion welded high strength polyethylene that will remove storm water up to 70% faster than a pipe or stone system. 5. We installed a 9 mil liner to the walls of the crawl space. It is a 100% woven reinforced liner. 6. We installed Thermax rigid insulation that is 2 thick, closed cell insulation over the 9 mil wall liner.7. We installed 4″ suction pipe into the ground of the crawl space. This pipe is for the event that Jim ever needed to mitigate radon gas from his home.8. We installed a 15 mil vapor barrier to the over the radon ready pipe system and to the ground and piers in the crawl space. This vapor barrier is a premium walk on/store on, white, 100% woven reinforced liner. 9. We also installed an Aprilaire 1850 dehumidifier in the crawl space. This model can remove up to 95 pints of moisture a day! 10. Lastly, We installed the Hygrometer. A Hygrometer is a remote temperature and relative humidity meter, stand alone unit with one remote sensor. The sensor was mounted in the crawl space to give Jim an accurate reading on his crawl space from the monitor inside his home. It was a pleasure helping Jim make his home safe, healthy, and happy!”
