Basement & Radon Solutions installed a Sub-Slab radon mitigation system in their basement. The radon suction line was installed in the basement storage room slab. After diagnostics for the system performance, a 5 diameter hole was drilled through the concrete slab to the earth below. This is where a suction pit was then created. A 4″ schedule 40 PVC suction line was installed in the slab. It was sealed and then was extended to the right rear exterior of the home. The radon fan was mounted on the right rear exterior. The radon vent pipe was extend above the roof line where the radon gas was expelled safely. Lastly, the manometer gauge (homeowner radon fan monitoring vacuum gauge) was installed on the suction line pipe in the storage basement room. By installing this mitigation system, it lowered the radon gas levels to 0.7pCi/L! It was a pleasure helping David & Vickie make their home safe, happy, and healthy for a new family.”
