Basement & Radon Solutions connected the existing radon piping system installed below our encapsulated ground liner to a 4″ PVC suction pipe that was extended to the right exterior of the home where the radon fan was installed. The radon vent pipe was mounted to the exterior wall and terminates above the roofline to expel the radon gas safely. Then, we installed a Radon System Alarm. Radon System Alarms are now required on all new residential radon systems. This unit is a vacuum monitoring device utilizing piezo resistive pressure sensor (PPS) technology. This alarm will provide an audible and visual indication to alert the homeowner when the radon system is not moving sufficient air in the event of a power loss to the system. Lastly, we preformed a post mitigation radon test. The radon test came back at 1.1 pCi/l!
It was a pleasure helping Caroline & her client to make the home happy, healthy & safe for the new homeowner!
