Bill is selling his home and got a radon test done. The radon gas level came back at 25.0 pCi/L and wanted it to be mitigated.
Solutions provided:
Basement & Radon Solutions installed a Sub-Slab radon mitigation system in Bill’s basement. The radon suction line was installed in the left unfinished basement slab. After diagnostics for system performance, a 5 diameter hole was drilled through the concrete slab to the earth below. This is where a suction pit was then created. A 4″ schedule 40 PVC suction line was installed in the slab, sealed and it extends to the left exterior of the home. The radon fan was mounted on the left exterior of Bill’s home. The radon vent pipe was then extended above the roof line to expel the radon gas safely. Then we installed a manometer gauge which is a -homeowner radon fan monitoring vacuum gauge- on the suction line pipe in the basement. After installing the radon mitigation system we brought the radon gas level down to 1.5 pCi/L! It was a pleasure helping Bill get his home happy, healthy, and safe for a new home owner!”
