Basement & Radon Solutions, BRS Pros, installed a Sub-Slab Radon Mitigation System for Bart. The reason for this sub-slab radon mitigation system is it draw out the radon from under the slab before it reaches any living areas of Bart’s home. We started by drilling a hole into the slab down to the earth to create a suction pit. Then from the suction pit the pipe was then lead up and out to the exterior of the home. Connected to the pipe on the exterior of the home is the radon fan. The radon fans job is to draw out the radon gas from the suction pit. From the radon fan that pipe was then extended to above the roofline of the home, where the radon gas was expelled safely. Also a Manometer (a vacuum gauge) was installed for easy viewing so that Bart can make sure the radon mitigation system is still working. After the radon mitigation system was installed BRS Pros did a 48 hour radon test. This test came back at 1.1 pCi/L! It was a pleasure to help Bart make his new home happy, healthy, and safe!
